Showcasing Sista2Sista

My inspiration comes from my sister, Linda. As kids I watched her draw women in dresses that resembled the kind of fashion models we didn’t see in our times in newspapers but the ones we imagined; the brown and the beige models – women that looked like our mom, our grandmothers, our aunts, and us. 

At the age of 33, Linda passed away, but she left in me a vision to draw women, men and families that look like all of us – not just the beige and brown, but all of us.
